# Working with squads

> Documentation release: **FMRTE 26** (published release).

Open a club's **Squads** page to view its players, open their profiles and apply presets to a selection or the displayed team.

## View players

1. Open the club and select **Squads**.
2. Choose the team at the top, such as the first team, reserves or a youth team.
3. Double-click a player to open their profile.

To open several profiles, select the player rows and choose **Open Selected**. For the details shown in the list, see [Column settings](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/help/settings.md#choose-columns-and-their-order).

## Apply a preset

1. Choose the team whose players you want to edit.
2. Clear **Apply to all** to work with selected players, or select it to include every player in the displayed team.
3. Select the player rows if you are working with a selection.
4. Check the player count beneath **Apply to all**.
5. Choose the preset under **Player(s) Presets**, or open **Other Presets**.
6. Open an affected player to check the result.

> **CHECK WHICH PLAYERS WILL CHANGE**
**Apply to all** covers the team currently displayed. Check this setting again when changing teams or opening another list.

Applying a preset runs its actions. See [Presets](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/tools/presets.md) to inspect or create one.

## Other player actions

**Other Actions** includes **Freeze** and **Unfreeze**, as well as contract actions. Check the selected team and affected-player count before choosing an action. See [Freezer](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/tools/freezer.md) and [Contracts](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/players/contracts.md) for the related settings.

## National squads

Nations use the same squad controls. Open the nation's **Squads** page, choose **Men's Football** or **Women's Football** where shown, then choose the team.

To replace a called-up player, follow [National squads](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/staff-and-managers/national-squads.md#replace-a-called-up-player).
