# Make your first edit

> Documentation release: **FMRTE 26** (published release).

> **TIP**
Raise one player's **Passing** by one point, then check the change in Football Manager.

## Before you start

> **INFO**
You need a [loaded savegame](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/getting-started/load-game.md) and an [activated license](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/help/licensing.md).

Choose a player whose Passing is below 20.

## Make and save the change

1. Find the player and open **Information**.
2. Increase **Passing** by one point, for example from 5 to 8.
3. Select **Save Changes** in the toolbar.

## Confirm the result in Football Manager

> **TIP**
Some changes appear after the game advances.

1. Open the same player's Attributes screen in Football Manager.
2. Check that Passing has increased by one point.
3. Save in Football Manager to keep the change.

## If the attribute changes later

Training, development and ability balancing can change attributes again. See [Player attributes](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/players/attributes.md) and [Freezer](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/tools/freezer.md).

If your edit never appears, follow [the saving checks](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/help/troubleshooting.md#a-changed-value-did-not-stick).

## Try another task

Choose a walkthrough from [Examples](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/examples.md), or take the optional [interface tour](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/getting-started/interface-tour.md).
