# Installing FMRTE > Documentation release: **FMRTE 26** (published release). Download the package for your computer and check **Supported Versions** against your Football Manager edition and update. **Windows** 1. Open the [Windows download](https://www.fmrte.com/download/fmrte26). 2. Select **Download this file**. 3. Run the installer, or extract the archive if you downloaded that package. 4. Launch FMRTE from its installed location or Start menu entry. If Windows Security blocks the download, check **Virus & threat protection → Protection history** and confirm the file came from fmrte.com before restoring it. **macOS** 1. Open the [macOS download](https://www.fmrte.com/download/ifmrte26). Check the list for your Steam/Epic or Apple Arcade edition. 2. Select **Download this file**. 3. Open the package and follow its installation instructions. 4. Launch FMRTE from Applications or your chosen location. If it cannot access Football Manager, follow [Mac troubleshooting](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/help/troubleshooting.md#unable-to-open-process-on-macos). **Steam Deck (Linux)** 1. Hold **Power** and choose **Switch to Desktop**. 2. Open the [Steam Deck download](https://www.fmrte.com/download/fmrte26-linux), and download the `.AppImage`. 3. Find the file in **Dolphin** and open **Properties → Permissions**. 4. Enable **Is executable** or **Allow executing file as program**. 5. Close Properties and double-click the file. Check the download page's known issues before using nation-rule features such as nations treated as EU or non-foreign.
