# Languages

> Documentation release: **FMRTE 26** (published release).

Open a player's **Languages** tab to change the languages they speak and their proficiency in each one.

## Language proficiency

Each entry has a **Name** and a **Value**. **Value** uses a **0–10** scale, with **0** as the lowest proficiency and **10** as the highest.

## Add a language

1. Open the player's **Languages** tab.
2. Select **+**.
3. Choose the language in **Name**.
4. Set **Value** between **0 and 10**.
5. Select **Save Changes**.
6. Check the player's languages in Football Manager.

## Change proficiency

1. Open **Languages**.
2. Change **Value** for the language you want to edit.
3. Select **Save Changes**.

## Remove a language

1. Select the language entry.
2. Select **−**.

Removing an entry takes effect immediately.
