# Bans, suspensions and holidays > Documentation release: **FMRTE 26** (published release). The player's **Unavailability** page lists restrictions that keep them out of matches. A player can have several at once.  ## Remove a restriction 1. Open **Unavailability** and select the ban, suspension or holiday. 2. Select **−**, then **Save Changes**. 3. Check availability in Football Manager. If the player still cannot play, check the remaining entries, [injuries](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/players/injuries.md) and [registration](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/players/registration-and-permits.md). ## Add a restriction 1. Select **+** and choose **Scope**. 2. Select the competition or team in **Item**, if required. 3. Choose **Reason** when available. 4. Set **Start Date** and **Number of days** or **Number of matches**. 5. Save and check both the reason and duration in Football Manager. Scopes include global, competition, domestic-league and holiday restrictions. The available fields depend on the scope you choose.
