Editing a group with Mass Edit

Mass Edit changes multiple players, staff or clubs at once. Choose the group with its filters, then set the changes to apply. Check the target count before Apply.

How the window works

  1. Open Mass Edit from the toolbar or use Ctrl+M (Cmd+M on Mac).
  2. Choose Player, Coach or Club.
  3. Select Press me To Filter, enter your criteria, and select Ok.
  4. Check the returned count.

Filter Options → Save / Load stores and restores the edit definition. It does not select your target club or players; use the filter button for that.

Mass Edit with Nothing, Replace and Increment modes

Safe first example: change three players' Current Reputation

Current Reputation uses 0–10,000. To set three players to 5000:

  1. Filter Player by club and a narrow age range that matches those three players.
  2. Confirm the count is 3 players.
  3. In Player → General → Reputation → Current, choose Replace and enter 5000.
  4. Leave unrelated fields on Nothing and Match CA to PA off.
  5. Select Apply and check the confirmation.
  6. Reopen an included player and an excluded player: only the included one should have changed.

Reputation is an internal value, so verify its number in FMRTE. A scouting or match result is not a direct check of that number.

Apply a preset in Mass Edit

Choose the record type and filter, then add a preset under Presets → Preset(s) to apply. Check both its actions and the target count before Apply.

Some presets act on related records, such as a club's players. Check the action's target as well as the filter.

Match CA to PA

Player → General → Match CA to PA sets matched players' Current Ability to their Potential Ability. Use it only for the players you intend to change. Learn about ability values.

Club budgets

Check balance, transfer budget and wage budget separately in Football Manager. The game continues updating finances after the edit.

For Corporate Facilities reverting to zero, read the non-playable-league check before editing more clubs.
